??pacesetter exhaust??

[COLOR=black][I] Hey everyone im only 14 and got my first car and i was wondering if u can help me with this question.........is the pacesetter exhaust system a good one for my 2000 dodge neon, 2.0L, and everything under my hood is stock for right now. Can anybody who knows for sure tell me something?

Pacesetter beats just about anybody out there in pricing, but from what I've read, they seem to be of 'questionable' quality. I've heard that the exhaust system has a tendency to rust out since it's only made of mild steel.

The pacesetter does have a very nice price. It also sounds much different than any other exhaust systems I've heard, its kinda whispery and quiet. As Y2kNeon said, the quality is not so much, I had one on a plymouth laser for not even 6 months and it has started to rust pretty bad. Forget about keeping that yellow color inside the tip, it will be gone after a month. If you are just looking for something to get you by for now, it's not too bad, but if you are looking to do some decent tuning, I say don't do it. Also, from what I've read from other people is that the diameter of the pipes are too big, they use 2.5" and it really takes away from your low end power. That could just be we torqueless Honda drivers though.

i had pacesetter catback on my 99 neon expresso for 3 years... until it finally rusted out. but pacesetter has a 1 year warranty.but from what ive read in other forums everyone else has had problems w/ them rusting out quick. mine lasted 3 years till i heard theis grinding noise when i droe.. i pulled over it waas one of the tips had rusted and was just hanging.. i pulled that one out .. it was really loud..then 2 weeks later the other one came out. but its good bang for buck!!

just buy a universal....
