1999 grand am idles rough

hi i have a 1999 grand am se 4cyl the car is idling rough,stalling and it smells like fuel comming out of the exuest can you please help me i have no clue what it is?

sell it!!
4 cyl engines go a lot quicker on these cars.

is there a bluish (blue) smoke coming from exhaust?

plugs bad? is it missing? any codes? need more info?

no blue smoke just unburned fuel smell and i dont have a code reader to check the codes i changed the spark plugs right after this happened and nothing changed

check engine light? could be a bad maf sensor or something...

is there anyway of checking the maf sensor and the throttle position sensor?? with a digital voltmeter

if the car runs, id take it to autozone or a local parts store that can scan the codes for you. im sure there is a way to check sensors wit ha voltmeter. but if you hav ea code maybe you can narrow it down to a few sensors instead of aimlessly trying to test all of them.

Wouldn't blue smoke mean it's burning oil if I remember correctly? Maybe you've got a bad O-ring or somethin on one of your cylanders and are burnin off some oil.

ummm newbie their is NO blue smoke it just smells like unburned fuel i really would like to know the tests on the sensors becuz i am bringing it to the mechanic today?
