auto to manual kits?

ok so i called a shop today in my town and asked how much it would cost to have them do a auto to manual swap.....he said since they'll have to find the parts and theres alot of wiring it would run me at least $2000.00....he said though that they sell kits for the auto to manual swap online and if i got one of those it would make it alot easier and therfore not cost that much for labour...he told me to go to nissanracing.com and they have them there but i went and it doesnt exist as far as i can tell, do you guys know if you can buy a kit?...and if i were to get stuff out of a junkyard then how would i know if was good or not?

If you Junk yard a tranny, you will have to rebuild it.

Full rebuild on a MT will cost between $600-$1000 Plus install. $2000 sounds about right for the swap you want, keep in mind you will have 2 trannys now and can sell the AT back for a few hundred probably. Don't let the shop keep it! =)
