Thanks a lot. I was looking for the R33's, but if I can't find them, these will do. Does anyone know where I can find the R33's? Man, those things are pretty expensive.

Buh Buh, try this site http://www.wholesalehyperformance.com/jdm.html I know that they have the lights, I'm just not sure what kind of price they would give you. I'm sure you can e-mail them and find out though. They have all kinds of JDM stuff.

thanks a lot for the info guys. Does anyone know how much it would cost as far as bodywork goes for grafting the headlights and tail lights of the R33 Skyline into a Prelude?

i say you just get the new hundai elantra lights and call it a day

first, have you seen them. They look very very similar to the skyline lights black housing and all and im sure they are very very cheap. Check them out if you get a chance it will be a very wise observation

buh_buh
01-24-2002, 04:35 PM
yeah, but I'm not just trying to make it LOOK like they're Skyline headlights. I want them to actually be skyline headlights...
Its like buying a cheap imitation knockoff. I want something genuine.

haitianjac
01-24-2002, 04:59 PM
with that concept then you car would be a cheap imitation skyline. Most people are usually going for a look unless we are talking about performance. You sre going for a skline look you cant turn your car into one. In that case these lights might even fit your car better assuming its not a wide body. But anyways it was only a suggestion you might want to have considered but goodluck on your honda skyline conversion.

I'm not trying to be a Skyline.
I just like the conversion. So what's the big deal?
I'm just saying I want the R33 headlights and not the Hyundai ones.

Yeah Buh Buh, I would bet that the Skyline headlights are going to be a LOT better quality than any Hyundai lights. Go for the R33s man, or maybe even the R34s they look nice too.

probably around $1K for the front and $1K for the rear. I was going to get skyline tails and headlights, but I don't want people thinking I'm trying to imitate one, so that's why I'm going with just the headlights, then maybe Lancer VII evo tails or S2K tails.

damn how much work is needed that it would be $1000. shit ill just get my friend to put them in for cheaper. lol he works a Honda.

well they need to like cut the metal on your car and then fit the headlights into them and then like weld (or whatever it is they do) it back on and fit it properly. Its like trying to fit a square block in a circular hole perfectly.

I'll give them a call. Thanks a lot Silverbolt.
Do you know where I could find some 2002 Lancer or Lancer Evo VII tails too? I can't even find one place for it, and I might have to resort to ordering from the dealer if I can't find htem.

Silverbolt

hmmm, ask Tom when you talk to him. He has connections over seas. You might have some problems buying from the dealer too. When I was trying to get some R33 tail lights from the dealer, they wouldnt let me unless I could prove that I owned one.

it shouldnt matter whether or not you own a skyline or not. they should just give you the headlights. your paying for them. there making money. they shouldnt worry about it.

yeah, why do they even care? As long as they get the $ right? I know the headlights won't be a problem, its just the Lancer tails. Maybe they'll be more easily accessible when the 2002 Lancers become more popular.

I'm stationed here in Japan right now. In order to even get prices over here, you have to show proof of ownership. I'm not sure how the shops do it back in the states. I wanted to get a price on some headlights from a Stagea, so I had to get someone who speaks Japanese to ask the owner for me. And he did, and they were expensive.

I love those tails! If I could find them, I would get them in a second for my Prelude. But they are nowhere to be found. For the picture of the Prelude with R34 headlights, do you have a picture of the rear end? Cool pics EliteAccord

I'm sure by this time next year you can get the Evo7 stock tail lights from your local Mitsubishi dealer.:)

But would you still get it?

Why wouldn't I get it?

Well I would prefer if I didn't have to get it through the dealer. Maybe in a year there will be aftermarket ones available. That way people will swap them and sell their stock ones. Either that or I would have to buy through dealer. I'm pretty sure the Evo VII tails are the same as the new 2002 Lancer tails. So I think they already are available. I just need to talk to a dealer in the States to see if they would ship it to me or how I could even pay for them.

The Lancer and Lancer Evo? They are? I didn't even notice. But I hadn't really looked closely.
I would get either one. But I like the Evo's better.
I can probably wait. I probably don't have enough $ to do the front and rear right away anyways.
