hmm.. some,, but why do people always say how modern cars are all wedges and they hate them? like the still are living the 50s. The Acura RSX is light, fast, but still cheap. people complain that there are no cars like that. They say how nice old interiors are and nice chrome.. look at the RSX!!!!! Type-S is only 24500!!!

old cars all look the same ;)

I don't have a problem with new cars. But still man. A lot of the old cars were pretty quick. My car, which would be like a accord back then is pretty quick. Plus I liek the shape more, and some of the interiors are better.

I just like old cars more

I own a '68 Goat, and I must say, its just feels great to sit in it and let it idle and to hear that pure detriot grumble.... ahhhh....
And no, they dont make them like they use too, but the new ones are just as great.

This is not mine, but in case someone was wondering what a '68 goat looked liked.

Kevin
08-09-2001, 03:58 PM

Adam
08-10-2001, 02:00 AM
are we talking about muscle cars now?

ooh. weeelll.. it ain't no RSX... or uh.. Celica... or .... close enough to muscle cars i guess. Alot better looking than all i can think of right now.

TheMan5952
08-10-2001, 04:30 AM
we are talking about classic automobiles. Any company can make them , so long as it's old.

Thank god, these cars have some character.

You obviously don't like classics, why post?

Im sorry, i dont really understand this post, are you implieing that a RSX, Celica are Muscle Cars? or am i not reading it correctly...

Adam
08-10-2001, 04:39 PM
no.. i was saying that i liked them better than them. certain older cars are awesome. it just seems that people always 'hate' the newer cars for their wedges, but all the older cars are just boxes. except for the c3 vette. now THAT is a classic i would actually get.

Lizard King
08-10-2001, 05:11 PM
Just boxes? Car design used to be much more adventurous and varied than it is now.

Adam
08-10-2001, 06:25 PM
that's just imo

OK, your entitled to your opinion, but according to your opinion, your in the wrong froum.

Adam

i thought it was ok. but end of that discussion

TheMan5952
09-01-2001, 02:12 AM
You can say what you want, but the topic of this forum is Classic cars, and a RSX isn't a calssic car, Celicas have been around for a while, BMW's have been around for a while also. but try not to focus on the new one to much, unless your comparing current models to the older models, eg. Old vette-New Vette. Not knockin' your style or anything, but just try to keep it on topic.

why bother with a 400??

you might want to look into some of the mopar crate engines they offer every thing form 360hp 360s to hemis to compleate viper engines. they also have some nice 383s and 440s with booko touqe and hp

TheMan5952
09-06-2001, 12:35 AM
Yea, But I'm 16 years old with the kind of cash needed for a crate motor. I'm getting the 400 and tranny for $200 or so from a guy I know, it was running when it pulled out a couple months ago, but I'm gunna rebuild it anyways.

Thanks for the Input though.

Funny, my fav muscle car was the 69-74 Dodge Dart. Im personnaly getting, and hopefully am, on my 18th bday (3/31) getting a Dart with a 400 (or larger) Hemi in it. Man o mighty, I already have a list of things Im gonna do to it. Hehehe, can we say skull shifter (I prefer stick over automatic), skull door locks and skull valve caps. And to top off the basic stuff Im doing to it, Hoosier drag rims (cheap and the orignals), and BF Goodrich drag tires (not slicks).
