Jeep Cherokee Code.

I have a 1998 jeep cherokee and the check engine light has been coming on and off so I pulled the codes and it brought up one code

P0320 Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit

does anybody know what this code is and can this code cause the jeep to overheat or not any help please.
