Ain't no way that WS6 traps that high with those bolt ons. I'd say he might trap at 111 mph, and that is really being optimistic. At elevation my former LS1 with bolt ons and 100 shot trapped at 113 mph. Corrected for altitude it was a 115 mph trap speed. I highly doubt his car would be trapping that high. In any event you beat him at what LS1's are notorious for, top end speed.

I can see a race. I timed 10 sec from when you hit it to when you let off. Thats enough time to get to about 120. So the ls1 only had exhaust, 4:10 gears, and a chip. So basically he only had about 25hp added on to the original ls1. so he was pushing about 300hp to the rear? :2cents: If your ever in Austin give me a hollar!

well I don't know what you mean by barely a race but, we went from 20mph to 120mph......so maybe you don't consider 100mph enough time to race...I don't know....e

oh and as far as the ws6 comment....don't know how much that would matter anyways considering his mods...but, if you want to be like that about it watch the video again and look at this hood. I guess I could show you some of my other video of it to prove it was a modded ws6...but, like I said considering his mods....kinda a moot point anyways...doesn't really matter all that much.

so your saying that mid 13's is slow? i probably run high 12's in the 1320 but i would never say that even mid 14's is slow. and yea i've driven cars much faster than even 12''s, your not the only one with a fast car here. anyway good run but i still would have took it up to atleast 140mph

He had cold air/header's/power programmer/full exhaust/drag radial's/4.10 gear's/sort throw. It's been so long now I can't remember what else he said he had done...in the begining part of the video I was driving and thinking about were we will run while trying to remember what his mods were...I didn't list them all.

Oh and if you think a ws6 which will get 285+rwhp stock much less with his mods...only has 300rwhp.....you haven't been around many ls1's.

Oh and 4.10 make a pretty huge difference. I have run ton's of ls1's.....some stock some modded as much as above with head's/cam with a little juice on the side......I can tell you I would eat alive a 3600lb car with 300rwhp....that's not even a race...I mean what do you expect to run with that power/weight ratio.....lol...mid 13's..come on. His car was pretty damn quick....but, I guess everyone is going to have a opinion on your race and weither or not you are full of shit....
I'd say he has about 35 whp over stock at most. The power programmer is shit. I use to have one on my old car. LS1 edit is soooo much better it isn't even funny. The intake probably gave him the biggest gain. I'd say he MIGHT pull off a high 12 sec. pass at best. Most LS1's vary by like 25-30 whp. The variances are that great between them, depending on the model year. I've seen alot around the 272-280 whp area (That's usually where they are around whp wise). A few are in the 290-300 whp realm (Probably like 20%, and usually only the 6 speed versions). A few of the WS6's have dynoed as high as 320-330 whp. Different dynos = different numbers. When my buddy Steve had his car dynoed he saw a guy that dynoed his SS to the tune of 245whp on 3 occassions. Oh and yes it was an LS1. The guy was furious. My buddy dynoed at 360 whp with an untuned cam and bolt ons.

yeah if he would have agreed for a freeway roll that's what I always prefer...he wanted a dig I wanted a 40roll so we compromised.

It's all relative to what your exposed to on a daily basis. If you are used to 15sec car's and 14sec car's a 13sec car is fast..and a 12 is really fast. I myself...hang around guy's that run 12's on bad day's street tires and low boost setting's. A 13sec in my world i.e. a stock ls1 is slow. there don't even come on my radar. My car aint fast by any means....I never said I consider myself to have a fast car....casue I don't .....a 12sec car(which is what mine probably is) is quick that's it. My car is just quick for what it is. My opinion on speed and what is fast differ's from most...it's all good. Like I said to most people a 12sec car is pretty fast...fast enough to beat 90%of the stuff you see on the street at least.....but, I run in a croud were everyone is turbo and modded. I am a little fish in a big pond.

lol.. funny story and great info...I would have to agree about the number's and the difference's. I have seen the same thing's. This guy was runnning a 01 ws6 with a 6speed tranny. That guy prolly had a minor stroke when he put down 360whp...lol.

I dont know where you get off saying a 12 second car is not fast because thats a lie. It is fast, there are people who pay top dollar for z06 corvettes and they dont run 11's.

my whole point is there are people who driven enzo's and mclarens and they will still tell you that a stock M3 is fast. you understand what i'm saying? you can grow up around faster cars your whole life, but(for those of you who watch b-ball) just because i'm use to seeing micheal jordan play ball doesn't mean that allen iverson sucks cause he's not as good as jordan. ya feel me yet?

i'm just basically saying give respect were its due and 13's deserves respect regardless how fast your car is :)
