Noisy air conditioner

I have a 99 Taurus that has recently been making a lot of noise when I turn the air conditioner on.
The AC is still blowing cold air but it's now making a bubbling, dripping type of sound when turned on. I've also noticed leaks on the floormats after the AC's been on. I am unable to notice any leaks while driving. It is more of a gradual leak.
I don't know much about cooling systems or cars in general. Does anyone have any idea as to what this could be?
Thanks in advance.

Only after the A/C is on? Sounds like the condensation that is forming on the A/C coils can't get out it's clogged drain tube. You may have a puddle in there, by now.
Find where the A/C lines go into the firewall, and underneath the bottom line should be another big plastic nipple kind of thing that is the drain tube. You should be able to push an unbent coat hanger up there and clean it out. Be prepared for water to come gushing out.
That's my :2cents: Good luck with it.
