Door dings

I am so pissed off right now!!!!!
I just walked outside to smoke a ciggerette and looked at my truck. Some stupid mother f*cker dinged my driverside door TWICE. I hope they die. My truck had only one tiny ding before this sh*t. What can I do to get them out? Are there any "home remedies" to take out door dings? Or do I have to take it to a body shop to get them out? Please help before I kill someone!

if it's a ding: a dent that has been punched in with a sharp edge...there's no simple solution, dude.
if it was a small dent with a semi-large diameter, sometimes, the method called "painless dent removal" will work. it's done with an adhesive and a tiny suction cup.
on a flat surface, i've heard of using dry ice in the dent. it's sooo cold that it shrinks the metal and actually pops the dent out, if not most of it.
on a door...unless you take the interior door panel off and dolly the dent out, it's grind, fill and paint time....... :uhoh:

yeah, the dings are both on the lower portion of the rocker panel.
I have heard of the dry ice idea too. I might have to try that. Th paint didn't get chipped so it mught be okay.

well,
sorry to hear you parked near some juice bag that doesn't care about anyone else's vehicle, including their own.
i've been lucky so far with mine, (bought 9/03) but it's probably only a matter of time.... my last vehicle got 4 in 6 months, in my WORK PARKING LOT!! talk about pissed...........?

Dry ice ,,,lol. We used that a lot in the shop i started in when i was a kid. We would tell them ,leave it for two or three day's then wip out the dry ice and take out 90% of the dents.
Freon gets cold also this may work for thinner metals like that found on you silver, other than that i would go down to the local mud hole and start blending in,woops i knew you would say that. This is a high stress area the tin is welded to the edges then press over the inner frame to make it bow out about 3/16 of an inch this gives great replections but is a pain in the rump when you want to do body work.
