I had my 95 Aurora scanned for free at Advance Auto.

I wanted to know what some of these results mean and How difficult it would be to change these parts.

I know someone mentioned before that the aurora's had 4 - oxygen sensors, but where would I find the left 02 sensor (bank 2)?

History code 43
Left Oxygen Sensor
(Bank 2) Rich Exhaust Indication

History Code 73
Coolent Temp Sensor
(CTS) Signal Is Intermittent

History Code PO131
Knock Sensor Problem

1. o2 sensors are easy, nothing major, make sure you get the stock AC Delco sensor.

2. Ditto, with this coolant temp sensor, have you noticed your engine temp gage running higher or lower then normal?

3. Another sensor to be replaced, hopefully you arent experiencing engine knock.

The 95 has 2 o2 sensors, the 96+ has 4

Thanks Rorastar, I am glad I found a place to get advice on my aurora.
I am currently working on a number of things to get this car back to normal. I am a novice at this, so please excuse my ingnorance.

1. Do you know where I can find those O2 sensors on my 95 (Bank 2)?

2. Ditto for the coolent tm sensor. And yes, the engine temp gage has been running high.

3. I am not experiencing engine knock; TG! Where would I find this one?

Tks

All of these sensors should be readily available from any auto parts store or GM dealer.

Installation however is not my forte. If it was my car, I would buy the sensors and bring em to someone to install, or maybe someone here will post installation procedures for you.

I assume you were throwing an SES light?

I haven't done the O2 sensors on my 95, but I have seen directions on where to find them somewhere on this forum a (long) while back. Just search for it.

I do remember there is basically one in front of and one behind the catalytic convertor, whereas on the 96s and later there is one in the exhaust manifold coming from each 4 cylinders in addition to these two.

To get at one of the ones on the 95 at least you have to take off some sort of vacuum reservoir or something and use a long socket extension or something along those lines.

Good luck!

take off the cover which hides the radiator, the one with all the info stickers on it. You will look straight down on the drivers side of the engine and see one of the TWO oxygen sensors on the 95 aurora. The other one, im trying to get to right now. I think removal of the coil pack will hopefully give me access to it.
