Neighbors from hell....

Ok, My wife and I live in a decent or least it used to be decent apartment complex. I would say about 6 months ago we had some new neighbors move in next store. They dont live in this state, but are only here for work purposes.

I can handle the noise, the partying, and the not so legal issues, that happen. I am a patient person, or I like to believe I am :banghead:
I walked my wife out to her car this morning and as she pulled out, she ran over a beer bottle, " which was placed behind her tire "

My wife, god bless her, would like for me to have a word these people. Not just three, but all 22 of them. Now; I would say- back when I was younger, I would walk right up to their door, knock, argue and whatnot, " nomatter the # in which I was OUT numbered."

Today, I am older and still have that edge, but I am too old to go to jail or more or less, I DONT WANT TO GO TO JAIL!!!
I will be talking with management about this, and I know this is going to cause tention. AAH, my wife, god bless her, I dont think it fully registers, that it will not be her, that the aftermath falls upon, but me.

I love this woman, but sometimes I just want to gag her.

is your goal to resolve the issue.....or just even the score?

I am just going to resolve. That's the somewhat easy part. My wife is hot headed at times and she wants to have it out. I have been in these situations before, but my wife has not. Closet childhood v.s hostile childhood.

The exposure levels of our childhoods are complete opposites, so trying to help her see the potential effects is tedious work. "<-spelled wrong"

Trying to get even will bring more trouble than it's worth. Been there. Done that. Learned. Plus the time it will take to get even, it is a waste of my time. Too old to be messing around with potential legal or hostile ramifications.

I am going to speak with managment, and if nothing is done, then I will handle it.

even though it may not help; you might want to file a police report too.

I'm in the same boat bud, my wife and I come from completely opposite backgrounds.
I find the same as you, it gets really difficult at times because they don't always understand.

Women expect the man to be 'The Protector'. To confront, resolve, make problems go away. The "technicalities" are not so much a factor they consider. Technicalities such as number of human beings to be confronted, size of said human beings, capacity of human beings to respond rationally, etc.
That, men, is where and when we must forge ahead and get creative...

Well you say they party a lot, so you can file a police complaint and then they will see the not so legal activities taking place. It can all be confidential so no need to worry of retaliation. Oh yea, if you need some people to "take care of buisness" I bet zebarathee and his wellington vice crew can help :lol2:

About two years ago before we moved to a house, we lived in an aparment complex as well. We had neighbors that moved in that were the rudest, loudest annoying people I have ever encountered. Bottom line is we had to get the cops involved on numberous occasions and gather a petition drive for other residents to drive them out. Which they finally did. But if we did not file the report nothing would have come out of it.

With a police report there is proof that in the case you need to demonstrate any past problems to a judge or management.

Well, I talked with management and explained the situation. They were going to place a letter regarding the matter of a complaint. The things they were doing were causing issues with the other tenants. The issues in the complaints were forbidden.

Well, I guess they recieved the letter because, I heard them discussing the letter and they were not too happy.

I took the first step with the paper trail, so I guess now it will be a waiting game, to see if they comply??

Management here is a joke and this was one of the better complexes in the area. The area really went to shit. Glad we are looking for a house.
My wife, god bless her. It gets hard sometimes, trying to explain certain ramifications, but what can one do, except to have a hand ball to grip

I have noticed it is quite tonight.

You did the right thing. I bought into my condo complex 15 years ago. I had issues with the assigned parking spaces right after I moved in as the previous owner never used her outside space. I was polite and just left notes on other people's car until they moved them. One particular tenant decided he would ignore my notes so had his car towed. While the tow truck driver was hooking it up he came running out and was angry as hell. I left a note on his car to move it and he threw it away. He thought I would back down but I didn't, and the tow truck driver didn't either. It cost him $40 to get the car off the hook. My son now parks his car in that space and doesn't have any problems with that tenant as my son is bigger and meaner looking than me!

BTW, my condo association is useless!

hmm thats what you get with living with other people!. I would suggest you talk to them logically and humbly about the situations and explain to them your issues. Im sure you would reach a compromise instead of just crying to management, you'd be surprised how far a invitation for coffee will go!

Here's how a similar incident was handled in my hometown:

Driving home from work on the graveyard shift, I notice that HUGE arrows have been painted down HWY 2, shortly before my exit. (Spray can paint).

The arrows came off the HWY, over the bridge, made a few turns onto side streets, and into the parking lot of an apartment complex.

And from the street, they could be seen going across the parking lot, up the stairs to the 2nd floor, along the wall to this one apartment that had been tagged in neon colors as being a "Designated Crack House".

Needless to say, by the time the police got there, the place was cleaned out - and the neighbors said they heard someone swearing and slamming doors that morning. The police had all the probable cause they needed to search the place..... :evillol:

my neighborhood is starting to get kind of crazy as well. a while back 2 new families moved into the neighborhood. what we didn't know is that these two families have some crazy kids! The kids would run on our property, mess up things in our back yard, sit on our porch, open our door and ask us for food, one put a scratch in T.C's door from their bike handlebars, and another tried hitting on my girlfriend:sly: my brother and i can't have a basketball game in peace, because as soon as we go out to the hoop in our driveway, they swarm out of their house and start hanging off the hoop.....makes me not want to have kids:mad::disappoin
