jack that bad boy up, and get the axle code off the axle, go to the parts store and buy a hanyes manual (if you dont have one) and it will tell you in there

o and i cant believe i left this out but the axle code is stamped on the front of the right axle housing, you might have to clean it up a little bit to be able to read it

If you have a 9 bolt there should be some tags on the left and right side of the cover held on by one of the bolts.

yes a 9 bolt. It was in 87-90 Irocs only I think. It was a Borg Warner unit made in Austrailia. Mine came with aluminum disc brake calipers. It had a larger ring gear then the 10 bolt at the time. I think the 10 bolt was 7.50" and the 9 bolt was 7.75". It was the performance unit put in the Irocs.
tacoma man.

so does my 89 IROC, but also, look in the glove box, for the three digit build code that is GU# the number being between 2-6 that post it here, and i can tell you what gear ratio you are running, much cleaner tht way. ;)
