i have an old python alarm that was supposedly disabled but it must still be connected somewhere. It constantly locks the doors, even when they are locked already. if i shut the door, smetimes it autolocks the doors, sometimes not. its very frustrating. i've yet to have this ghost lock make me lock my keys in the car, but its only a matter of time. how can i disconnect and remove this nuisance ???

Yep, just find the brain and disconnect it. I would bet that it's not the alarm though. Those Python alarms have lifetime warranties. If you have your receipt, you can have it fixed.

or you take off the door panel and cut the wire running to your lock actuator.

i'd check and see if its running right off your battery . if so clip the wires

of course it will be running off the battery :screwy:. a good install you couldnt tell what wire coming into the battery is the alarm. good chance its run into the fuse panel. i think it will be easier to just remove the panel and cut the wire. unless you know where the actual unit for the alarm is located and remove it completly.

WTF???? He meant that maybe someone ran a wire to the battery. I personally hardly ever run power wires to the battery. All my wiring is done inside the car. Also, I never run the lock wires inside a door unless there is no other means. Usually on a Honda, there is a plug that is taped up under the dash next to the fuse panel that I get the triggers to lock and unlock the doors. All he has to do is find one wire from the alarm and trace it back to it.
