try taking the negative battery terminal off for about 20 to 30 seconds, that should reset the computer, if that doesn't help, then i would think about taking it to a shop and having them run a dig on the computer to see what kind of trouble codes you are getting, what kinda engine do you have, the 3.8L or the 4.6L?

It does, however, beg the question of WHY the MIL is on. As noted, disconnecting the battery for 20 or so minutes should reset the computer. If you have a problem, the light will just come back on. Have you scanned it for the code?? Autozone will do it for free.

I've had this happen two times in the last 4 months. It's not running bad but I bring my car to the dealer to get checked out. They tell me everything is fine and clear the code. They don't have an explaination for it.
The only thing that I can think of is that I drove it in Arizona for the first 7 years then moved to upstate New York. I drive in changing elevations everyday (enough to make my ears pop every day).
