Can i put 305 heads on my 350, Will it add any power cause my 77 350 has like no power at all. i got the heads free from my friend.

They will fit, But you will most likely not gain any power. You may even lose power depending on the size of the valves and what cc the heads are. Most likely the 305 has smaller valves.A 77 350 is not noted for being the most powerful engine to to all the smog regs of the mid 70's through mid 80's. Your engine may just be tired and chnging the heads isn't going to wake it up.

yes cause all gen1 SBC heads fit all blocks.
mebbe cause the 305 from gm ALWAYS has small valves (172/150 or 184/150), the 350 SOMETIMES had small 172/150 valves)
the small combustion chambers will raise compression, most likely to a point where the 77 350 pings.
what is the cast number of the 305 heads?

the casting numbers are 104014416. Do you think that i shouldn't put these heads on the 350?? Thanks

i found it online: 14014416...80-86...305..........1.84"/1.5" valves, 58cc chambers
