Apexi super AFC configuration

i just bought a a'pexi super AFC for my 96 eclipse gs-t and i need help configuring it to my car. I want to set it good enough to get the best performance and boost out of it on my car. Iv read up on it and that it can be adjusted in so many aspects to my car that it confuses me. I dont have a BOV and the instruction manual i got isnt helping me to acutally configure it very well. Its already been installed. If anyone has the same AFC/type of car/same year or anything that can help me configure it and tell what settings they have going would be great. Thanks alot

back to your question... I have a link for a afc tuning guide linked on my work pc.. but i actually think if you search the forum on here you'll find it

lot of things determine what though.. such as what injectors you have.. fuel pump

and back to the GST BOV thing... umm... hit gas, shift, hear that noise?

goto dsmtuner.com and look in the tunning / tech section, they have a complete guide to tunning it on there..

Every car is different... you cant use someone elses settings... best to take it to a performance shop so they can set it or someone who for sure knows what theyre doing... Cause you could really mess up your car

Its hard to figure out what the actual question was in all that noise, but with a datalogger you can set up an AFC. Running at the track or the dyno will help you know if you are indeed going in the right direction or not. Kyle T wrote up a decent article on AFC tuning. You should be able to find it on tuners, or www.racingknowledge.org. Ah, here it is:

But its going to assume you have a logger. Most poeple do www.pocketlogger.com, but there are others. TMO logger for 1Gs, and other OBD2 loggers for 2Gs. I used pocketlogger for years. If you have an EPROM ECU (you have a 96 if I remember, so you wont unless you buy one) go with www.dsmlink.com. Even if you dont use these things, check out the websites anyway, lots of good info there.

If you went to larger injectors, let me know what they are and I can get you some rough settings to make the car run right. Also, I think there was something about venting BOVs? Be aware that the AFC can not help with venting BOVs on Karmen vortex type cars. So it wont help you there. Leave it dumped back in for now, there are other solutions you can learn about later.

IF you are having toruble understanding the manual (often in japanese), I Can try to give you the setup information off the top of my head. I havent used an AFC in years though, so I may forget some. Metering type is Karmen Vortex. 4 cylinder of course, TPS voltage rises (arrow up and to the right). Set low/high throttle points to 30 and 80%. There may be more in the link I posted above at RKO.

Yes I think you can, but you have to get some kind of linking device that will hook up to the laptop. Someone around here I'm sure knows what it is.
