91 accord brake lamp on

i have a 91 EX and the brake lamp indicator is on. checked and see that one of the bulbs on the left side with a dbl filament doesnt work. when u turn on the lights that particular bulb lights up but not for the brakes when u step on them. the one on the right side just like it works fine. put a new bulb in the left side and same problem. took working bulb from R side and put on L and same problem. is this possibly the wire harness thats bad or what ??? and whats the cost if so?

check the wire harness on the taillight itself. the pins on them usually corrode and if there is a little box attatched to th tailight also thats the sensor that lites the lite check that to for corrosion.
