Both cars are overrated if you ask me, but yeaqh your correct, this race is purely a driver's race. I believe a S2000 driven in the hands of a great driver can do magic, but your average S2000 driver seem to not be able to make magic happend. Now from a track stand point, it's not even close, the S2000 would run circles around a Mustang GT (pre-2005 I assume).

from my experience its usually because the standard s2000 driver bought it as a chick magnent, and doesnt understand you have to get above 8000 for anything to happen

I always thought VTEC on an S2000 was about 6500 Rpm, before dozing off at 9000......But I'm probably wrong.

I'd still bank on the S2000, stock for stock. They are unresponsive to mods, though.

these two are very different. one is a true muscle car and the other is a true sports car. of course, i would take the sports car. the s2000 would most definitely take the mustang on the track, but it would be close at the strip.

i think the GT would actually win in a drag just because the S2000 onlt has like 150tq and the GT 302

I just wanted to let all of you know how crummy S2000's are. How over rated Mustangs may be, but how bad they can fuck cars up on the street, strip, OR TRACK! Lol, 11.9 Stock? I wish! It was about 14 stock. Not bad, but it hasd to be faster. Mustangs are SOOOOOOOOOO easy to tune and modify to get that extra power. You just have to fill up your whole tank every f'n day! Lol, but it's worth it when you see those SS Camaros fly away in your rear view mirror. :)

i'm not hatin on the mustang. all i'll say is i'd rather have an S2000 any day of the week. it's not always about being the fastest car, not to me anyways. 9.9999999 times out of 10, there will always be cars faster than yours, even your 11.9 second mustang, which is pretty damn fast to begin with.

Bah, I'm dogging the S2000, but I'm dogging the f'n stang as well. By all means if you want a Damn S2000 get one! They are quick, great gas savers, look kinda gayish, but I guess some of you can pull a lil pus with it. But if you want something that will really get them pannys wet, get some muscle that will blow that skirt right up. I don't know... they are cars. So what. By no means do I consider myself better, or a bad ass because I drive an American made muscle car. There is just something about hearing those damn Flows through the dumps in that v8 that makes it all worth while. Have y'alls prefferences, I've chosen mine.

I would take the Gt at the drag strip and the S2000 at the track. The problem is that while the Gt only costs ~26k the honda costs in the low 30s. The Mach 1 which costs about 30k would beat the S2000 at the drag strip and the track. :iceslolan
