New to the forum. Where is the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver located in the 1998 Aurora? I purchased a new transmitter and successfully programed it and reprogramed the original. About 3 months later they failed to work. My second attempt at reprogramming failed. Contacting the seller of the transmitter, they were as in the dark as I was as to what was happening. They suggested going to the dealer. The next day I was successful in reprogramming both again. That was about 3 months ago. Guess what, No reprogram 4 days in a row. Suspect the receiver (or its antenna) are not receiving the transmitter's signal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On my 1996 Aurora it is in the trunk, attached to the roof on the passenger side. It is held up by two of the type pins that you have to pull on the smaller diameter heads to release it.
Hope this helps.

Just on an outside chance..pop the transmitters open and check the battery clip. I've fixed two that had broken solder joints and were intermittant. Both had been dropped. It's an easy repair if you know how to solder.

Thanks - I found it in the same place - Remotes have no cold/cracked solder joints. Still no programming even aiming at the receiver through the back seat trunk access. Next I'll replace the receiver and post results.
