Clutchless Manual Transmission

I am sure that you all know what I am talking about. This is the tranny similar to what F1 cars have, where there are 2 paddle wheels on the steering wheel, and when you want to shift gears, you just hit the paddle wheel. The gear will change in 0.15 sec, with no clutch to press.

I was just wondering if anybody has ever heard of this type of tranny on an F-body. I know about the shiftronic for automatic transmissions, but that is just a cheap knock off.

P.S. I'm gonna post this here and in the Camaro forum.

I already responded to your post in the Camaro forum, but I'll say it again.
I've never seen an F-Body with it.
None came with it stock, and I'd imagine it would cost a shitload to do aftermarket.

Yeah it would be cool and unique, but like they said. EXPENSIVE! I would rather save the money to pump into the engine and have a 6-speed. Cause you know you can have a tranny that shifts in .015 seconds or whatever it is, but it won't be shit without a powerful engine. I'm not bashing on you or anything, but thats the way I look at it. Unless you got the money to pump into both, then I say go for it.
