I don't know if this is normal, but I followed every step of instruction. Lete the putty harden and began to shape and sand it and it peeled right off of the body. Putty I was using is quick type. I had all the putty work layed out and ready to be dealt with and now its all sitting in the garbage and im one less step to completion. Anyone?

Did you wash the parts where the putty was to be mounted?
Only thing I could think of right now.

try sanding that part of body with 800 grit sandpaper and then apply putty. Of course make a good wash in soapy water and then wash out before applying putty.

Youre not using Tamiya Epoxy Putty Quick Type if its turning blue, you must be using the smooth type, its gray and white parts.

opps, my bad, it is smooth...white and light blue. Would tamiya poly putty work better?

Quick Type would probably work best, I havent ever used poly putty though.
