DAMN!!!!!! and i just put both cars on jackstands and pulled the front ends off :( im drivin the jeep and the minivan while i put em back together. IROC probly wont be on the road till next year. *stomps feet*

ahh man that sucks. what are you doing to them?
well there's always next year. do you
think my z28 would be a good contender
at the drag strip? its stock, except for the
exhaust. the car is pretty fast, but id like
to really do something to it before i take
it down there. do you have any suggestions?

well, the RS is still apart from the accident, i just got the hood, fenders and door back from the bodyshop, they still are fixing and painting the nose. the IROC is goin on jackstands, to have the front clip taken off, for rehanging the front of the engine is coming apart for a new timing chain, and possibly a cam, the heads and intake are coming off to be replaced with vortec heads and baseplate, the rear diff is coming apart to make way for the torsen with 3.23 gears, and then when it all goes back together, sometime around next year probly, as im goin out of town for school in the fall, its goin to the paint shop for a serious workover to sand, straiten, smooth and get a coat of either black or copper metalic red paint, and a set of 17in chrome torque thrust II's with goodyear eagles and raised white lettering. then shell be on the road again :) but havent decided if im gonna take the trashed grey interior out of the iroc and swap it with the very well taken care of red interior of the RS. cuz there are two problems. IROC has split folding rear seat. RS dosnt, and the IROC has the rear cargo trim for the rear storage lid. while the RS dosnt. so that rear cargro trim peice that covers the pulldown motor from car to car are different. so im still making desicions at this point. if i swap intereors, the IROC is getting paintd black. if i keep the grey interior, its going copper metalic red with a candy apple red overcoat. thats what im getting into at this point lol

as far as your Z, i think they run handycapped, so id leave her stock, and run with it. :)

but if you wanna do something really bad, you could always throw on some worked over LS6 heads, headers, cam, and get some extra kick out of it. that project should be doable by the time the weekend rolls around. or shit, put a supercharger on it, i kow they sell intercooled kits worth an extra 150hp :)

tacoma man.
06-09-2004, 01:05 AM
i meant for the 95 z lt1 will ls6 heads work.?
i was thinking of lt4 heads and spercharger.
maybe nos too if i have money left.

oh shit, yeah im a retard, the LS6 heads wont work, but same idea, the LT4 heads and supercharger would be bad ass. i assume youre running the HOT cam in that?

tacoma man.
06-09-2004, 02:17 AM
i think i will do that, i havnt gotten a cam for it yet
but i will.

im going to be busy.......i guess i better
replace the stock poiston rings, head gaskets,
cam, and try to find some lt4 heads.....
ill tear it down in the morning and see what i can
do for it, it will be a couple of days before i get the
procharger. i hope to have it all done before
the big weekend.

wow, tearing into the internals is gonna signifigantly add time to that project. best of luck on it though, that things gonna be scary, be sure to post your times when ya get back.

tacoma man.
06-09-2004, 10:35 PM
i have her apart right now the internals look
great. got some power seal rings, and i found a
site online that has the lt4 heads and the hotcam
im going to try and get her back together before
the supercharger gets here.

damn, look at the man with the plan and whatnot

tacoma man.
06-09-2004, 10:43 PM
should i do anything to the tranny. this car
has the 1le package with a posi rear end.

89IROC&RS
06-09-2004, 10:52 PM
i dont think youll NEED to do it, but you could always have the tranny rebuilt with a B&M kit, and a shift kit for firmer faster shifts. but with time constraints i wouldnt try to get that done before the superchevy bash, you already got enough on your plate.

tacoma man.
06-09-2004, 11:03 PM
yeah i know, im going to order those heads
though, i need them. i can get it all
back in and the sc installed in a couple of
days. i plan on having one bad ass ride
when im done.
