Gotta Tech question (Triple cat-back what does mean for my SpecV)

I was reading about my SpecV and saw that the car has a Triple cat back, the same that a WRX has. Now my question is this, what exactly is an exhaust system gonna do for my car whenever they become available? Has anyone ran there SpecV on like the G-Tech or Track yet. Just trying to get some early figures. I wanna here from people not magazines. C-ya:alien:

I believe someone ran a mid-to high 14 in the 1/4 mile....
But not much testing (dyno) so far when it comes to the Spec-V's...a few guys have been changing thier exhaust over to a universal aftermarket....But I would imagine that a full exhaust upgrade would give really decent gains to the car.....

Another mod that you may think about doing with an exhaust would be to put an aftermarket cool air intake into your car. An exhaust system could run you anywhere from $400-800. An intake will run you about $200. So, in conclusion, with those 2 upgrades (about $500-1000 investment), you'll gain about 10 hp. If that's enough of a gain, go for it. You'd be better off taking out a loan to put turbo into your car, but with aftermarket turbo, you must tweak it quite often, which continues to add to your bill. I am a die-hard fan of the Subaru WRX. I shouldn't really talk about tuning up cars, for I have a 2001 Altima SE, stock. But, I got that car because Nissan holds it's value, and in a few years, I'll have enough saved up that with the trade-in of my Altima (I have $15k saved up now), I'll be able to purchase a WRX STi. If you were to take my advice, sell your Spec V, get a commuter car, and save up for a WRX or the WRX STi. That, if you ask me, would be your best investment of your money.

ser spec v's have 3(i believe) cats i know there is one in the header and at least one in the exhaust
buying a header will eliminate the one cat and an exhaust will probably be a cat-back system, leaving you with only one cat between the header and mid-pipe
but of course you will forfeit your emissions if you even take one of them out
wrx has a cat in the exhaust, one in the downpipe and one in the up-pipe.(yeah it sucks but exhaust will free more power on a wrx and especially a spec v)
i have heard many places of I/H/E on a spec v netting over 30 whp so it is definitely worth it to go get those!!!

dont buy an sti. everywhere else in the world the sti makes 300(or so) hp with the 2.0 ej20 and they only sold the 2.5 in the us so they could get the same horsepower with U.S. emissions. the 2.0 is waaaaay better motor to tune and you can make 400 hp with the money you save buying a wrx instead of an sti. oh well just my :2cents:
