If this has already been answered I'm sorry, I didn't find it.
I heard that the S14 SR was harder to modify because of the variable valve timing and that it wasn't worth it because it didn't do much. Is this true? And is an S13 SR harder to get into an S14 chassis then the S14 SR?

supposidy vvt is harder to tune at high hp and will get in the way when making over 400hp.. for the price of a s-13 sr20det to a s-14 sr20det most people go with the s13 b/c its hundredes less then the s-14 and basically the same motor..
both motors fit the same in ant s-13 or s-14 chassie

The ports have to make a sharper turn to fit under all the VVT stuff too. so the S13 heads flow more.
its not like the Hump tops cant put down the same amounts of power as the Flat tops. its just that all the VVT stuff usually gets taken off at those power levels (cams, Cam gears). so why waste the money unless you want the lower milage?
