ok well just so you know, for a 700R4 and a 2004r its not a detent cable. its a T.V. cable. that could be a problem when your looking for one. they are different but many many many people confuse the two. as an example, you can run say a th350 or th400 without the detent cable, but you can NOT, ABSOLUTLY NOT, run a 700R4 or 2004R without the TV cable. heres a sight where you can get a good setup with everything you need. all you have to do it figure out what carb or FI system you have.

incase some of the links on that sight arnt working as usual, its through www.700r4.com you can find everything there

well its not really a spring, if you look through/read this article it wil explane everything i think. if you just look at the pics it shows how it hooks up and everything, about a quarter of the way down are the ones that show you the best, there are two parts, there is the piece inside the trans that doesn not come out and hook to the lever, and that comes up to the hole and hooks to the tv cable there. look...

well i would say get the hook off something int he junk yard. should be a problem to find. you can look in GMC jimmys and blazers and stuff like that, and 700 should work. as for the servo, i dont think they are hard to install, i have one fo there servos for my 200 but i havnt put it on yet. if i remember corectly all you have to do is pull on yoru old one so you can get a hook kinda thing in there and brake the old seal then it pops right off and you push the new one on. i think. dont remember for sure. ill see if i can find it somewhere.
