What type of 351 do I have?

I have a 1994 F-150, and bozos at work all tell me I have a different kind of engine, cause they wanna sound smart, but they're all bullshitters, so I can't tell. is there a way to distinguish between the C, W, or M? I'm pretty sure it's not an M, cause that's old school, but if anyone would gimmie a hint on how to tell the difference, that would be awesome. Help a brother out... :eek7:

You have the Winser small block same as the 302. The clevland was a big block. and the modified was a detuned clevland for smog pollution. The M was the same as a 400.

I agree about you having a Windsor.The way to tell the difference is the Windsors' tstat housing connects to the front of the intake manifold, whereas the Cleveland and Modified(still Cleveland based) goes direct to the block not to the intake.

Yup, the info about the stat is correct, and you DEFINATLEY have a Windsor. As I recall, the last "M" was in about 1982.

you have a winsor, and here how you know how. The winsors all have the same amount of valve cover bolts. A M will have the thermostat housing coming off the block and the cleveland will come off of the intake but has 8 valve cover bolts, i think its 8.

look at the intake a w is about the same size as a 302 just a bit bigger a mis wide about 2 feet
