Serious Starting Problem!!

Hey all, I have a huge problem that has become a terrible pain in my ass.

I have a 1995 Nissan Altima SE 5spd with the 2.4 litre engine.
when I get in the car, and I start it, it starts and drives fine. I can drive 2 minutes down the road and shut it off....it won't crack for another hour.

The cd player, lights, and all electronics come on, but I can't seem to get the car to start. It doesn't even try, no clicking, no turning over, just lights on the dash, and silence.

if I was for about 30min to an hour, the car will start fine. It didn't start doing this until the mechanic dude changed my clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and transmission.

Why is this happening? I can't have this happen...I have a 2 week old newborn that can't sit broken down in the heat for an hour

HELP!!!

its fucking irritating.

uh, thanks for the info compadre....but that doesn't really help with my starting problem....now does it?

I'm pretty sure I'm intelligent enough to remember I started the car, my exhaust is pretty loud...so...yanno.

sounds like a starter problem to me. I had the same problem on my mom's 300m. I drive the car around for a while and park, get in 5 min later and it wont start. Like you said it made no noise at all. So i lifted the hood, waited 5 min and bingo it starts. If this was a battery problem it would make a noise. I had that shit when i bought my 2000 altima se and i changed the battery and everything was fine. No problems so far (knock on wood)
