programing keyless entry to my 03 dakota

can someone please help me and give me instructions on how to program a keyless entry remote so it will work on my truck..... i have an 03 dakota.... any help would be great thanks

Is the system stock? I am not 100% sure, but this is worth a try. stand near your truck and push the lock and unlock buttons on the remote down at the same time and hold them down for like 15 seconds, this may reset the system. at any rate double check your owners manual there should be somthing in there about how to reset the system.

unfortunatley it is not a remote that came with the truck... so i don't have any idea what i am doing.. i will try that anything else would be great help thanks

Does your truck have a keyless entry system, or did you just pick up a remote and expect it to work or what? I don't understand.

it has one i want to add a second.... i founf the instructions in the ownders manual... thanks alot though
