R33 Regression

I've decided to re-finish my R33 Skyline. I'm going to strip all the paint, take off all the small bits, and re-do the body.

Any tips for removing glued parts besides the freezer trick? This is going to take some gentle yet forceful prying. For the lights, I figure I could drill holes from the back and pop the lenses out, the fill the holes with putty... Luckily the front headlights are built so the inner lights are glued in, so if I can pop them off first, I won't have to do any drilling in the front.

All the Decals are a lost cause, then, right? If so, then I'll just shave all the badges except for the GT-R on the front and back. The Nissan logo and the side "GT" badges are toast. And no more V-spec... :(

Also, how to break CA bonds? That what I used for the front grills (mesh.)

And, no, this isn't replacing my S2000 on my desk...

Well if it was me i'd just store it away and just buy another kit if you can get the same one. To much mucking aroung.

As for getting parts apart....the freezer is the only trick i know off as most glue melts the plastic together and are a bitch to get apart.

What about the CSS you use....will that soften glue if you soak the whole model ???

You'll lose interest and then won't finish it! You'll end up losing a model!
Leave it as it is and start another.
