I will be changing the battery on my 2000 intrepid very soon. Can anybody tell me where the battery is located and a step by step procedure on how to change this. Thank you very much.

look under the hood. take off the bracket holding it in place. take off positive and negative cables. pull out battery. installation is reverse.

Here is what my owners manual says:
The Battery is stored in a compartment in front of the tire in the right front fender and is accessible through the engine compartment. The tire and wheel need not be removed to access the battery.
To access the battery:
1 Turn the sterring wheel fully to the right.
2 Remove the battery access panel form the inner fender shield.
3 Remove the air cleaner.
4 Move the battery into the opening and lift it out.
I have not done this but have seen the inner panel.
Good luck.

When i changed mine, changed twice, when i bought it, i changed the battery thru the fender well, the second time, disconnected the air breather and lifted up thru the top, the second choice is what i reccomend.
