Best 2g?

I am looking into getting a 2g and was just wondering what year(s) are the best built/strongest/breakdown the least->(i know the breaking down part depends on how well maintained it was but say every year was maintained well)

EDIT: before this 2g idea i was very close to getting a 1g. Looks dont matter to me at all (as long as it's not rust) so should i just stick with my 1g idea and use the extra money that would have bought a newer dsm and use it in the 1g?

there isn't one. they're all built the same from 95-99.

ok thanks i just wasn't positive on that because i've heard that for 1g's the late 93's? are the strongest so i thought 2g's might be that same.

that's just my thinking. i don't believe they make it any stronger since the prior year. however, the later year does tend to last longer, milage etc.

although the 95's ecu is different. they're eprom ecus. comes extrememly handy when you do a dsmlink or tuning your ecu.

You could easily search and find the differences in the years, and the "best" year, but in summary here it is. 6 bolt motors are the strongest stock 4G63. They come in 90-92 (some 92's are 7 bolt though) DSMs. 1g's have a bigger stock turbo, and you can run fast very cheap. 2g's are harder to get fast on a stock turbo because its not a mitsu turbo, and it's small. 2g TURBO engines are all the same. If you buy a non-turbo DSM you will never have a fast car. Good luck.

well with that out of the way i think i can say that within the next month i will have a nice 1g AWD and the modding will begin immediately.

1g..... not really my taste. but that's just me. :2cents:

well i'll be getting a 1g very very soon and if i like that enought maybe i will get a 2g as well by the end of summer, if i have enough money after getting my bike and quad.
also i am only 17 so i'll start out with the cheapest car for now
