No airbags, illegal?

Since i got in my accident last night and the airbags went off, i am not sure if it is still legal to drive it. I know i have to replace the airbags so i was thinking i could cut the stock ones out and still drive my car (Only body damage done, no engine damage).

umm some vehicles dont come with airbags so it has to be legal, cause my truck doesnt have air bags and there is other vehicles that came stock with no air bags, you arnt going to get busted for not having them

no its illegal actually. They passed some new laws I believe in 1998 or 1999. You can get a cut off switch if you pass certain requirements.but unless your car did not come with an airbag when you bought it, it is illegal to disable/remove the airbag. And also INsurance company Will NOT cover you. But it varies state to state actually call your local dmv and talk with your insurance company. MOst important thing is the insurance, Fuck da police, if they pull you over and actually notice you dont have an airbag they will write you a ticket, that is all. INsurance is the big thing that has to ok it.

Really yes, but as long as no one sees you, you will be fine. My friend drove with his blow up for 4 months.. no one saw anything no one said anything.
