8 Olds Calais

I got an Olds Calais, 151 (2.5) engine, throttle body/ignition box, all the computer "stuff". It ran good, engine has about 10K on rebuild. It sat up for about 5 years before I brought it out and cranked it. I cleaned the tank and replace the fuel pump, and took off down the road. About 4k in, was riding down the road, it began missing/ spitting a little then cleared up. Half mile later I turned onto another road and throttled up.
It began missing and shut down.
It's firing, the injector is spraying fuel, I'v even poured fuel in and it does nothing until the instant I release the key....it then spits back in the throttle body one time. It's obviously out of time.
I've replaced EVERYTHING outside the engine, even the pick-up in the block, behind the coil pack. Have even checked the timing chain...it's great. Lined up and all! The only thing I haven't checked is the trigger on the flywheel. Has anyone had a problem with this part cracking or slipping or what ever, to cause the timing to go out so bad???
Any Ideas???????????????
Thanks,
Randy

I'm Very Sorry to say, I still don't know! We just parked it! It was my sons car that someone had given him as a gift, so no big money wasting. But, we literally replaced everything that deals with firing except the peice on the crank that the pick up coil senses. So, I'm sorry, I can't be of any help in your situation.
I kid my boys frequently that we undoubtedly live in a tiny geographic location on earth that "wipes out" electronics. We have some of the stranges issue's with our automobiles!!!!
If you happen to stumble over the "fix" please let me know what you found....the Calias is just "Dying to know" what is broken!!!
Thanks,
Randy
