Hood Release Cable Broke!

The entire cable came thru the firewall...anybody have any suggestions as to how I can open the hood???

You might open the hood by removing the hood lock mechanisms with an open wrench.

Not much room to use open end wrench....hood is tight and no room from doghouse...

In my case, I did have the space, Sorry. I was looking tday at the Hood lock and thinking of your situation and thought maybe you can remove the engine cover from inside and remove the air filter canister and with good ilumination and a long rod with a flat tip you can reach the mechanism, you might need to look at another Van to greater determine how to release it with the rod.
