Runs better when cold ?

I don't know if this is a problem or not. But in the morning when i first run my car, and the temp guage is just below norm operating temp, the turbo slams to all hell and back and it runs pretty mean(enough torque to squeal my all wheel a little on a roll). But then as it gets up to about the middle position between the two notches in the temp guage(where my temp usually resides), the turbo still hits nice, but not near as hard. I have a boost controller set at 16 psi, on a small 16g turbo w/ stock 1g wastegate. Any way to retain this 'cold engine' turbo power?? is this a problem??

it could just be the egine is still cold so the air that's goin into the intercooler doesn't get heat up as much. but you shouldn't drive it pass 3000rpm untill you reach the operating temp. bad bad! :nono: a FMIC will cool all that air down.

Why would rpm past 3k be bad at cold temp? You know that most people at the drag strip push their car up the line to the pits to race on a cold engine?

the pistons and wall don't heat up at the same rate. without having all the components at the proper operating temp, we all know what would happen to one that's a lot hotter than the other, boom!!.. i'll leave that to your imagination.
