steering column

I need some help on how to fix a loose steering column. My steering column is loose at the tilt section, you can grab the steering wheel and move it up and down serveral inches in each direction. I tried pulling the steering wheel but didn't see anything that I could fix. Any help sure would be appeciated.

there are three allen screws that hold the coupling together. they are difficult to get to. lots of things to disconnect including some open bearings that tend to fall out and into the column or on the floor. i would suggest finding someone who has done it before to help.
