Transmission Problems... Need Help Asap!

hey, i have a 86 s10 blazer... 2.8L v6.. i was driving today and it started to shake really bad then it went into a neutral stage it seemed like when i was driving..so i stopped. I tryed going again but it made me rev to about 3500+ RPMs to get moving again...i checked trans fluid and it was low.. i filled them up, and tryed it again.. same thing.. anyone else kno something i could try.. or am i fucked and have to buy a new transmission.. ty .. hit me up on AIM - BlitZz EclipzZ

do you have an automatic ? If it is, was the transmission fluid dark grey or black? If it was you fried your trans. Time for a new one.

it was like a brownish color.. and it was really low.. yes its a automatic, i added more fluids and still acts the same

You have probally smoked your forward clutch.
Will the trans move if you use manual gears?

yeah, it goes in 1st -2nd and drive.. also in overdrive... it moves in reverse but u have to give it a lot of gas to get it to start moving.. im taking it to a transmission shop today.. so if anyone knows anything else plz help.. thx 4 the comments so far...

If you have a standard transmission then mine does the same. This only happens to me after putting it in four wheel drive. I have not yet figured out the problem yet but going into nutral or shutting it off for awhile seems to correct the problem for me. Hope this works.

its sounds like the trans is do up for a rebuild. unfortunetly the average auto transmission life is about 100k before a rebuild is needed. less if your constantly hauling or towing objects. your trans is in gods hands now! the only advise i have for you is take it to a reputable trans shop and cheaper is not always better. you get what you pay for.
