I know that weight matters but how much could an extra person determine the outcome of a race?

we actually did a test. we have a buddy with an automatic v6 camaro, so we took it to the track and i ran it a few times (thing is a DOG) to get some base times, then we loaded my buddy, all 160 lbs of him, in the passenger seat and ran a few more times.
came out about a 1 tenth slower on the average
