just wondering if a winter grill insert will overheat my car if i put it in. im asking because i like the look of the winter grille and im worrying if it will cut off airflow to my radiator. btw, i live in arizona.

On the ranger, the air box has a separte opening for the airflow, so I dont see how your overheat your truck, unless you dont keep up with your fluids and check-ups..

yes in arizona a winter insert will overheat your truck.you wont cut off air flow to the motor but your radiator needs air flow also.

yeah, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!!! If you do, you will probably end up having to get a new engine b/c you fried the old one....the air intake is not a problem...it can get air from under the hood, but if you put one on there, there will be no cold air rushing over the radiator and over the engine block, which would overheat it, especially in AZ... they don't call them "warmers" for nothin :iagree:
