boost leak signs

alright i found a leak with the "leak tester" at my throttle body gasket. the new ones should arrive this week. hopefully it will solve my slow problem. when i get into 3rd i can feel the boost until about 2700 rpms then i hear my turbo spoolin like crazy but nothin happening. could a small leak in my tb cause this? also when i start up my car even if its cooled down but hot outside my stock boost gauge stays at zero. if i rev it up it still is at zero but when i drive like 100 yards it jumps up and starts working. any suggestions?
