Im keen to know what modifications people out there have made to their engines and what the resulting power/torque increases were? Im interested in going a little bit faster.

check www.se-r.net (http://www.se-r.net).

They have a lot of info on engine modifications there.

I have these engine mods so far:

Hotshot Cold Air Intake
Hotshot 3rd Gen header
UR pullies (2 set)
Advanced timing to 19*
Lightened Stock Flywheel (about 13lbs)
ACT Clutch
recent tune up too (plugs, cap, and rotor)

I put down 141.1hp and 133.4 ft.lbs at the wheels a couple weeks back. These numbers are a tad higher than I've seen for others with the same mods, but i'm sure there are others with similar, or less mods making more power too. I think this equates to about 163hp and 154ft.lbs at the wheels ??? Hope this helps

My last dyno run had:
JWT POP charger
Unorthodox racing pullies (2 set)
Custom exhaust
19 degree timing

I ran 135hp and 128 torque. Pretty high for my mods. Since then I've added the JWT S3 cams and a Hotshot header is going in soon. Then I'll hop on the dyno again...hopign for close to 150hp. :)

i'm curius about the pulleys also, 2 or 4 pulley set, which is better? and would they work on a 2001 g20? i know the 2 pulley set replaces the water pump pulley and the underdrive pulley and the 4 pulley set includes the alternator and the a/c, correct me if i'm wrong :smoker:

oops, i'm wrong lol the 4 pulley set comes with the underdrive, water pump, alternator, and the powering steering pulleys but no a/c pulley

I think you mean the crank pulley instead of the underdrive pulley, but yes, I believe that setup is correct. Between what I've heard, and what i've seen on cars, there really isn't that big of a difference between the two sets. The 4 pulley set is supposed to make a hp or two more. I've also heard the the throttle response feels a lot better with the 4 pulley set rather than the 2 pulley set. But, I may just be spewing BS here too, this is just from what I've heard or read in the archives or on the se-r list.
Oh yeah, as far as price difference, I got a quote for another LM at a local shop here in Phoenix. 189 for the 2 set (however I paid less at the same shop), and 249 for the 4 pulley set. Hope this helps.

I buy most of my parts on group deals...I think I paid ~$140 for the 2 pully set. Don't get upset if you can't find that price, it was too good a deal to pass up at the time. The header was $425 from JWT.

The difference between the 2 and 4 pully set is minimal hp gain and maximum frustration for installation. :) Basically if you just want to 'finish' off the look then get the 4. IMO the extra cost and installation difficulty is not worth it.
