Just put my order in an HLJ for a Ferrari Berlinetta which is on its way to us (fingers crossed) in July, just wondering if anyone can tell me if its a copy of the old one or is it from a new "mould". This is one Ferrari iv'e just got to build, the sexiest Ferrari ever i reckon. Dug out this picture from Kunta's website, i mean...............how does one even get close to building like he does !?!

I don't know, Kunta's obviously got the magic touch though. That 355 looks real, period.
Im not positive, but I believe its a reissue, not a new mold.

Definately not new molds. I have the original release, and it's a bit rough- more than a bit chunky looking. Almost as good, but not quite as good as *ujimi's (can't say the F word, I'm told!:sly:) 348- so, a solidly mediocre kit. It needs a good bit of bodywork to yield an accurate looking 355.
We'll see if/when the reissue comes. It was of course licensing issues that took it out of production to begin with. Ferrari became much more aggressive about enforcing licensing a few years back, and since then it's hard to miss the 'officially licensed' emblems on Tamiya and Revell kits. *ujimi announced this rerelease late last year, and has since pushed it back a couple of times. Rumor has it that they ponied up with the license fee for a limited run- *ujimi obviously knows that despite the kit's quality, there's strong demand for this one- but they haven't explained the additional delays. I'll believe it when I see it, but I'm not betting on next month.
