Instead of making another thread every time, I'll just use this thread for all of my work.

Ferrari I just finished. I did a wreck of a background so I had to erase it in PS, hence the strange effects all over the place. My paper also bleeds a lot http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/puke.gif

thats great. I really like your concepty style, and the way you color your cars. Do you use prismacolor?

I use Prismas, but I'm getting sick of them, so I will start buying Trias.

Took maybe a half hour, plus another half hour for the original conceptual sketches. I'd say around an hour total then.

Have you tried vellum?

I believe there's also "paper for markers". It's semi transparent yet sturdy. It eliminates "capillary action" (bleed), and reproduces very well.

Just a thought.

I haven't tried vellun yet, but I have done tracing paper, which I'm told is sort of close. I also have to start learning Canson...

There is bleedproof paper around, I have a stack of it. It really holds the pastel well and you can easily stack layers of marker on it. The thing is, the pad I have is A4 size (9x11) so it is too small to explode any of my thoughts. This is sketching paper, almost newsprint, but a bit heavier.

Voici my latest drawing. I can't quite brand it, so I'll just say something random.

The next Ford GT

Doesnt look like a ford gt IMO but its random so whatever. but its cool. Your cars always have such motion but your wheels are pretty motionless. Your render makes my colored pencils look like sh!t. Markers look better..

I agree with the wheels. I didn't set up the axle lines properly...

My car is in motion but my wheels aren't? I'm not trying to go for that effect, so I'll just take the credit :p

He Ansisk, would you mind writing up a tutorial for coloring with markers? I can never get reflections, gradients, and so on.

Hmm, I'm kind of tight on time for the next 6 weeks, but I'll try to write something up.

Same with me, it would be nice if you did do one.

I'm almost done writing it and drawing it, I'm not too proud of the drawing itself, but that's okay. The words are there... A tutorial will be up in about an hour, I have to piece it all together.

DELAY! I am really pissed off with my design, so I think I might redesign it. This is a big setback because I will need to completely rescan everything. FAAAAAAAAARK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Feck... whatever.

It's now done. I'm not proud of the finished product, but that's okay, the procedure is what counts. I would like it if some people tried it out, I'd like to see what other people get. Also read the comments at the bottom. Thanks!
