I'm looking for upgrades that are relatively cheap (under 300$ a piece) for when i purchase a 95 integra gsr. these are some with prices i can get them at....5zigen catback exhaust 200.00
cold air intake 40.00
racing headers 200.00
racing chip 40.00
If i could get any help with anymore upgrades i would be very appreciative.

i would purchase a skunk 2 intake manifold (usually costs about $279) and do that first to my integra. that is the best bang for your buck. you get excellent flow because the gsr intake manifold is very restrictive and on top of it the throttle respose is much better. i would get that and an aem cold air ($160-200) along with a dc sports 4-1 header ($400-450) and a skunk 2 cat back exhaust ($480-550). all of those should add a good amount of horsepower and make your car sound a lot better.

skunk 2 cat back exhaust ($480-550)

is that a really loud exhaust...a lot of people in the forums say it is??

fyi those aren't *real* high flow cat's, they're just test pipes with a fancy name, they will definitely not keep you carb legal, but they'll work if you're not worried about it
if you're looking for a good header, don't go dc.. they look nice but that's about it, if you can get your hands on an ITR (gen 3.5) headder then you'll be laughing, if you can't find an itr one then look for one that has a 2.5 inch collector on it, they help quite a bit for freeing up hp.
if you're going to do it in order, the best thing to do is do exhaust first, you'll want to let your baby blow before she sucks. :2cents:

dc is a pretty badass header as long as you have the 4-1 and dont get the 4-2-1. and the skunk 2 exhaust isnt that loud. it stays fairly quiet until vtec and then it gets pretty damn loud.

DC makes decent headers (4-1, AND 4-2-1 are both good)but you will see more power out of a ITR header. That would def. be your best header. I wouldn't say get a intake manifold. Really the stock one is plenty good enough untill you do more up grades, and there are better places to spend your money, like on adjustable cam gears, and a good tune. you will see much more power out of that then getting a new intake manifold. One thing people tend to forget is that you can usually find alot more power having your car tuned really well, then spending the same amount on a bolt on!

Am I reading this right? A stock type r header is better than a set of DC headers? Will ITR headers fit on a LS beast....

have u ever put a skunk 2 intake manifold on a gsr that only had intake and exhaust? from just a simple bolt on it was really incredible how much it helped the car flow. now after doing the intake manifold then i would get it tuned. after that the we put skunk 2 cams, and a built gsr head from crower and then the power great. we tuned it and it revved to 9k and made power the whole time, really a very quick car.

I wasn't saying it isn't a good thing to do. Ya you will see some power from it, I was just saying that if he isn't planning on spending much money then there are better places to spend the money that he would have used on a intake manifold, and see more power. And to answer b18b. yes the ITR header is better than the DC header. I am actually looking at selling my DC to find a ITR (then I can put the heat sheild back on so the damn dip stick handle doesn't get so f*ing hot!). And no it wont fit a b18b head...sorry!

Not to steal someone's thread, but will the itr headers fit on a ls, and if so, will this be better than going with the dc headers???????????

Dude if you read my last thread you would already know that. I stated it clearly and directed at you. The ITR is better than DC. But unfortunatly it will not fit on a ls head.

on rear disk brakes how do you get the caliper to go back in do i need some kind of tool besides a c-clamp that isnt working

the caliper question should be in another thread. but anyhow, DO NOT PUSH IT BACK IN!!!! you will destroy the caliper. take a pair of needle nose pliers and turn it clockwise and it should go back nicely. but what ever you do, do not use the c clamp on it. only on the fronts.
