How hard will this be?

I've had this honda civic model sitting around for a while.. Just now opend it up and started on it.
well i'm moving away soon and though it would be a cool idea if I could make this model into a replica of my friends rice.. err car...

he's getting different ground fx so i'll have to worry about those later..
My question is, How hard will it be to get/make this hood??

anyway, it shouldnt be too hard to create it yourself. draw it out on the hood. Each cowl probably would consist of 3 sides of styrene, two skinny ones for the sides and a large flat peice for the top. A little putty and sanding could smooth them out.

lol yea they are "functional" for the motor that really doesnt need it..

I keep telling him to get a c/f hood.. gunmetal wheels..lose the wing and graphics.. go for a clean look... but no...

I should make the model of how his car is now.. front end is cracked.. no rear bumper.. :) He hit a dead deer heh

Anyone interested in making the hood for me? And if it's a good job maybe do the ground FX when I find out which ones he gets??

why do u guys think that civic is bad?? other then the Mongoose hood, its not bad, tribal graphics are pretty sweet, the Gt-Wing looks good on it, prolly give it some down force too, but the hoods gotta go...

I'm not even sure I'd bother with the sides.

What about just templating the shapes and stacking them up on the hood, then clean up the edges with putty...

It took this long to figure out why I posted :disappoin. Rear downforce on a FWD with no complimentary downforce in the front is plain dumb. Besides, that sushi table he has on the back of that Civic is run-of-the-mill. It's not wind-tunnel tested for the specific car aerodynamics.

As for downforce.. Not many cars with wings get downforce from them anyways.. From what I understang 99% of the wings made will need an excess amount of speed to actually apply any downforce to the vehicle..

looks like you could cut up the hood from a revell trans-am, the last bodystyle with ram air. It would need heavy modification but the basic shape would already be there.

about that hood... here you can find a 98 Trans Am Ram Air Hood that haves those shapes... but it is smaler... but it might work as a base....

That car is the kind of rice that has been cooked to long and stuck to the bottom of the pan!! :disappoin I would leave the hood stock, but the trans- am hood might work. That's if you are willing to waste a great car. Do what you think would be cool.
