AEM V2 Q's....

Does anyone have the aem v2 intake....I'm considering selling my cold air to get the v2 cold air. Is it worth it? Also I heard it was real loud. Is this true, if so, how loud. I'm not one of those freaks that wants the loudest car on the block.

I have a V2 and I really am not sure that it is worth the extra cash. It is really nice and if you really need the couple extra hp that they say it gets you then go with it. As far as the runiing through water thing you have a CAI alreay and must kno that that is mainly crap. It takes a real jackass to actually hydrolock an engine. You basically have to submerge the entire filter. That would be like an 8-12 inch deep puddle that just "came out of no where." Anyway the V2 sounds soooo sweet. It is defietly loud but only at wide open throttle. After 6K RPM it really screams but other than that it just gives your B18B (like mine) a deep muscular growl that I still can't get enough of.

Thats my take... By the way the install is so much easier if you have a lift and a friend is a requirement. Let me know how it goes.

I have a V2 and I don't know if it's worth to get it or not.....I never had any CAI before so I can't really compare V2 to others but so far...I like it....it gets loud after u hitting 4K....like double tap said...only loud at wide open throttle...

so far...I like it.....get a freind before installing...it will make job much easier....
