Can tow jet ski with Extreme pkg?

Want to tow one jet ski with my 2000 s10 xtreme equiped with 4.3 V6. I know towing is not reccomended with Xtreme pkg. Is it not reccomended because soft suspension and the truck sitting low? If I use air shocks or air bags can I safely tow 1000lbs?

I have an 02 xtreme 4.3. I use to pull my 18' 3000 lb boat. I've loaded the bed of the truck full of camping gear and towed it to different lakes where hills are involved with the a/c on. Yeah, the rear end sags a little, but doesn't look or feel riduculous or anything like that. Been doing this since I bought the truck new. It tows like a champ. Don't know why they say you can't tow with it. Don't go towing a huge 22'-+ ski boat or anything like that, but you should be fine with jet skis. You probably won't even notice they're behind you.

It's still a truck. My lawn mower can pull a jet ski.

I sure wouldn't worry about it, 1000lbs is nothing for any truck, although I was not towing I have hauled that much concrete ( bags ) in the back of of a Honda CRX now that was pushing beyond the limits of a vehicle and yet still did fine :^)
