2002 Frontier Tail Lights

Can anybody tell me how to remove the stock tail lights on my '02 Frontier? I want to replace them with custom lights. I've searched high & low for any mounting screws and bolts, both inside and outside the bed, but I just can't seem to locate the mounting hardware. I hate to pay a dealer $65 an hr to unbolt/bolt a couple of tail lights.
Thanks,
mick carey

My 1998 Frontier has two 10mm bolts on each side, on inside of truck bed (under the plastic bedliner). Remove these, and it pulls out to the rear.

I own a 2001 Frontier and my taillight is out. I do have a bedline, however I've removed it and cannot find where to replace the bulbs.

Can you say specifically where these bolts are located? I looked in the back by the tail lights and couldn't find anything.

On my 1998 Frontier, they're right in the inside rear corners, two 10mm head hex screws, one above the other; they run east-west, with the heads on the inside and the threaded portion to the outside of the truck. After unscrewing them, the entire taillight assembly must be wiggled out to the rear; it's a tight fit because of the rubber seals, and there's an electrical connector that only needs to be disconnected if you're replacing the assembly, not needed if you're just replacing the bulb. the bulb goes in easily one the taillight is "out" of the vehicle. I tried looking at some newer Frontiers but all had bedliners. If there aren't screws at the lens side (like in the old days), then they have to be in the rear (bed side).
