hey yall ive got a question. ive got a 94 accord ex, 2.2. just recently ive had an odd chime. after ive parked, with my lights off and the key out of the ignition, i have been getting the chime you normally get when your lights are on or key is in the ignition. on top of this my steering wheel does not lock. im assuming the problems may be realated, and i have no clue what may be causing it. i guess my question is does anyone know what this may be? are the events related, or are they even a problem? any help?

there is a little micro switch in the cylinder that may be broken and the car thinks the key is still in the cylinder and thats wy the chime is going off.

hmm, sould i be concerned about replacing it? i guess having a locking steering wheel is a good idea for anti-theft and anti-tow truck measures. im guessing this is a common problem? thanks for your response

well as an anti-theft measure the bottom line is if someone wants the car they will take it. When they pop the lock it takes care of the locking wheel and as for a tow truck im sure they wont hesitate to just drag the car. other than that what it comes down to is it a nusenses?
