alarming factory alarm

i bought a 97 Integra LS. the thing is that the factory alarm was disabled when i got it, so now i am trying to alarm it. every time i plug the wire into the security control main unit the alarm just goes off and won't stop until i unplug it...i am stumped on trying to alarm it, can anybody help?

Sounds like the reason why it isn't hooked up. Those OEM alarms are a joke and a real pain in the butt.

total sense of direction is smelling a bit fuzzy but, What wire are you sticking where. If you are pluggin a harness in ofcourse it's going to go off you need the remotes. I'm not sure on how to valet a factory system read your manual for this.

i am sticking the plug into the security control main unit, sorry, about the wire, i meant the plug...which i do not know the name of.

the remotes were disarmed when i purchased the car.

i read the disarming the system by the valet switch instructions, then i tried it and it did not work in disarming, the alarm still goes off when i plug it in

factory alarms are a real pain ........ and most companies are not very forthcoming about info on their alarm systems. They figure if you can find the info, so can a thief.
